Dr. Brian Herren Chiropractic Services
Dr. Herren’s Chiropractic approach is to truly care for each patient and take a personal interest in their welfare. He takes the time to thoroughly manage each case, ensuring that every patient receives a comprehensive, caring approach to their concerns. Dr. Herren takes the time to learn about each patient’s needs and provides examinations directed at better understanding the mechanisms at work within each individual. When appropriate, he is an expert in delivering a number of different treatment methods, including the following:
- State-of-the-art instrument adjusting / gentle techniques
- Traditional manual chiropractic manipulation
- Myofascial trigger point therapy
- Massage
- Moist heat/cryotherapy
- Interferential current / muscle stimulation
- Ultrasound therapy
- Therapeutic stretching
- Ergonomics counseling
- Functional rehabilitation/strengthening exercises
- Proprioceptive rehabilitation
Treatment begins by employing the least invasive procedures necessary. Most of the time, very gentle techniques are sufficient to yield the desired results. Occasionally, more aggressive conditions require additional therapies. These may be administered in-office, or a referral may be made to a specialist. Each case is evaluated individually and approached in a stepwise fashion, beginning with the most conservative measures that are advisable.
Dr. Herren emphasizes a comprehensive approach, whether this means obtaining x-rays, ordering MRIs, referring to a specialist, helping one find legal counsel, or providing a range of additional services; they are well-qualified to serve as a “portal of entry” for patients who are hurting or seeking treatment to stay healthy.

Areas of scientific study include anatomy, physiology, neurology, neurophysiology, microbiology, pathology, biochemistry, pediatrics, geriatrics, spinal biomechanics, orthopedics, radiology, cardiology, nutrition, physiotherapy, gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems, and infectious diseases.

The chiropractic physician is ideally situated to manage a wide range of conditions and is always a valuable resource to his patients. He has developed strong relationships and collaborates closely with numerous medical providers within the community to ensure each patient receives the necessary care. Doctor Herren also works closely with many members of the legal community to assist patients who have concerns about the management of their cases.
One can take comfort in referring friends and family to Salem Chiropractic Clinic because, if we cannot provide the most appropriate treatment for any given situation, we will find someone who can and ensure the referral is initiated promptly. We take pride in a comprehensive approach.
At Salem Chiropractic Clinic, we have found that by referring when appropriate, treating when indicated, and addressing all aspects of our patients’ concerns, many have come to trust us.
Some people are still unaware that they can visit a chiropractor directly after a car crash without a referral from their primary care physician. We are well-suited to manage cases from the moment of injury through the full resolution of symptoms and return to a pre-injury status.
